Appointments

Our appointment systems are running differently at the moment, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.  This is so that we can keep you, your family, and our staff safe.

Our Surgeries are open and our Doctors and staff are all working, as usual, however you will see changes in the way you can access a Doctor.

When you contact the surgery our receptionist will take your details, so that a Doctor can phone you, or video call you, to discuss your problem. In many instances they are able to deal with your issue during this call, however, if they feel that you need a face to face consultation this will be arranged for the same day.

If you are free of COVID symptoms the Doctor may ask you to come to our Surgery; you must, of course, wear a face mask (unless you are exempt on medical grounds) and the Doctor or Nurse will wear appropriate PPE in line with the latest PPE guidance. We have a one way system in place to reduce likelihood of breaching the 2 metre rule.

If you have COVID symptoms but you require medical help regarding this, or another matter, you will be asked to attend a special GP clinic which has been set up to ensure that all patients, in Barnsley, receive the care that they need in a safe environment. This is the blue clinic, we can refer you to this service where it is indicated.

The majority of our services are running as normally as possible, annual reviews, childhood vaccinations, flu clinics etc., and our reception staff will explain any changes to accessing the premises when they make your appointments.

If you have any concerns about your health please contact the Surgery and our staff will  help and advise you.

Please be aware that all GP Practices in England are open and working as usual.

There are a number of other services you can access, for minor ailments your local pharmacist may be able to quickly diagnose and offer a treatment solution immediately. iHeart offers out of hours appointments and can be accessed directly at certain times of day and via 111 outside of those hours.

We have a range of clinicians working at the practice who can be seen to manage infections and diagnostic testing, to ensure patients are seen more quickly.
