To implement the necessary changes the computer system is being taken off line from 1pm onMonday 13th November. Full access will be restored on Tuesday 14th November. During this time there will be no access to patient records, appointments or the online system, (SystmOnline.) To minimise any disruption to patients the practice has arranged alternative cover.

If you need a GP between 1pm Monday 13th November and 8am Tuesday 14th November please contact iHeart365 on 01226 242419.

We apologise for any inconvenience and ask for your patience during this time.

Hill Brow Newsletter - Winter 2016

Welcome to the first edition of Hill Brow News which we hope patients will find useful.  We plan to issue a newsletter every three months and have copies available for you to pick up and on our website.

Accident & Emergency

Patients are reminded that the Hospital A&E Department is for patients who have had an accident or require emergency medical help only.  For all non-emergency medical problems patients should see their GP or when surgery is closed ring 111.  Your local Pharmacy also has a Minor Ailment surgery and can prescribe basic treatments for many minor illnesses.

Patients attending A&E for non-emergency problems cause delays for patients with real emergencies and waste valuable NHS resources.

Named GP

From April 2015 all GP practices are required to provide their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that the surgery provides to them.  If you would like to know who your allocated GP is please speak to reception.  If you have a strong preference as to who your named GP is, please let the reception team know and we will try to accommodate this.

This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice is you currently do.

Volunteers needed to help train Student Doctors

We would like to set up a bank of volunteer patients who would be able to come in for about an hour to share their story with the students and help them learn.  For further information please click on the link.
